Everyone has at some time probably spent the night on his "Universal Lounger" dating from 1968, and his "Container" wardrobe programme is a genuine design classic. Yet Rolf Heide is not purely a furniture creator but a universal designer who designs lamps and furnishings in addition to superb trade fair stands. However, his credo of the maximum possible reduction always applies: "There are far too many superfluous things being designed."
